KwaDukuza mayor mobilising for collaboration during clean-up operation



“Many hands make light work”, that was the key message from the mayor of KwaDukuza S’duduzo Gumede after launching his multi-stakeholder clean-up programme this morning.

The programme is part of mayors 100 days in office initiative where he is mobilising the participation of stakeholders in building a new culture of civic responsibility.

 

Various teams made up of volunteers, CWP, EPWP, DFFE, HESTO, COGTA (CWP), DFFE, the Department of Transport, Hesto, R2E2, and EDTEA embarked on basic service delivery activities including fixing streetlights, verge maintenance, stormwater maintenance, waste removal, tree felling, waste removal, law enforcement, pothole patching.
