KwaDukuza Municipality named best performing municipality in the province
KwaDukuza Municipality is amongst ten (10) of the best performing Best Performing Municipalities to have been accorded a prestigious award for service delivery and governance at the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) 2025 Convention in Sun City last night (03 October 2025).
KwaDukuza is the only municipality in the province of KwaZulu-Natal to have been recognised in this prestigious occasion which brings together captains of industry within the property development sector.
KwaDukuza mayor, Sduduzo Gumede described this achievement as a true measure of property development, economic growth and sound governance. “The province of KwaZulu-Natal can no longer be mentioned without the mention of KwaDukuza as a key strategic area that contributes significantly to the growth of the province.
We continue to grow our economy by enabling investments, prioritising municipal performance and efficacy through sound governance systems. We are growing exponentially and this is evidence by this accolade, serving as a clear measure of exceptional governance, economic growth and development. The world can no longer ignore our growth and multiple pockets of excellence within our thriving property industry where we have become a formidable force in the province.
SAPOA hosts the annual Convention as a platform for creating inspiring engagements and future-focused smart architecture, technologies, and innovations.

KwaDukuza (KwaZulu-Natal), Saldanha, (Western Cape), Midvaal (Gauteng), Kouga (Eastern Cape), Metsimaholo (Free State), Greater Tzaneen (Limpopo), City of Mbombela (Mpumalanga), Dawid Kruiper (Northen Cape) Jb Marks (North West), and Swartland (Western Cape).
