KwaDukuza mayor is monitoring the budget and service delivery through community structures with precision

KwaDukuza mayor Sduduzo Gumede is carefully using his vast experience in local government leadership to fix past mistakes while ensuring that the IDP & Budget are properly aligned toward the betterment of each and every community.

Empowered by his first meeting with Ward Committees during his third Term of Office as mayor, today, the Gumede received a good reflection of the task ahead, and what needs to be done to create opportunities and improve the quality of services.

Next week, he will be rolling out his IDP & Budget public engagements which coincide with his 100 Days in office initiative that is aimed at uniting communities around clean governance and efficient service delivery. As his first stop, he will be meeting with the northern Ratepayers Associations (Wards 16,17 & 19), where he will be listening with intent, in a bid to contribute toward a greater call of action.

Being fully aware of the challenges ahead, he says his goal is to mobilise and unite communities to one plan and one budget that will work for all.
